To My Big Brother

You make me want to be a stronger better person.

To My Big Brother
Julie Corbett

Dear Big Brother,

Yes, I'm annoying, but I'm your annoying little sister so you're stuck with me. When we were younger I never considered you a role model. Maybe we were too close in age, or I just thought I was smarter, funnier, cooler, and a lot better looking than you (okay I'm DEFINETLY better looking but that's not the point). But now that we're both adults, I really look up to you.

We actually did a project in class, where we had to pick who our 5 heroes in life were, and yes, believe it or not you made the list. After all the crap you went through with your headaches, you still managed to graduate high school, go to college, get a job, and now you're serving our country in the air force. You're so strong, and I really admire you for it. Heck, I envy you a little.

You make me want to be a stronger better person. Whether it's out in the world or with dance. When I'm having a bad day where I'm lacking confidence I try to think about what you'd say in that situation, that's if I don't text you for some brotherly support.

You're just an overall inspiration to me, and I'm really lucky to have you as a big brother. I'm thankful we grew out of our petty arguments and fighting because I definitely need you in my life.

Love you lots, and I'm super proud of you.

Love,

Jamie

If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
