How's life treating you?

Dear future me,

I sure do think about you a lot. I working hard now so you can be happy and successful. You're probably in your thirties by now and I wish you the best. I assume you have a family and they make every day worth it. You're probably quite busy because of work and getting your family out of the door each morning. But just so you know, I am quite the busy-bee now. I guess it's a trait I'll always have.

Do you love your job? Are you writing for the big publication you've always wanted to work for? Please tell me you get paid more than a nickel and a dime. Any company would love to have you. Just be optimistic. I know it's hard.

Do you still live in Texas? I can't imagine being anywhere else right now. Do you live in that country styled home you use to want? I hope there's a wrap around porch with a swing and a backyard with a pool for your kids. By the way, how is your family? You should have a husband and two kids by this point, just like how you always wanted. Please tell me everything about your wedding! I can't wait til that day.

Hopefully, by this point, you know how to pay taxes and do other adult things that you didn't know how to do at 18-years-old. You're still close with your parents, right? Just remember they did a lot for you when you were little and even when you were in college. I know you probably haven't talked to your family in a while, but make sure to do that. Contact as many loved ones as possible. Tell them about your new life. Hear about theirs. Time moves fast and you should hold onto everyone as long as possible.

On the topic of time, I hope you're using yours efficiently. Just remember that you only have one life to live. Go skydiving. Go travel that world. Bring whoever you want with you. Go try new restaurants. Take millions of pictures. Go on a road trip. Roll all the windows down and sing your favorite song from 2004. Embarrass your kids. Kiss your husband. Love every day and never regret a thing.

Remember to take care of yourself. I love you future me. I want you to be happy and love your life. Most importantly, never forget to enjoy life today, yesterday is gone and tomorrow may never come.

Love always,

Your younger self

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
