Dear Momma,
I do not tell you often enough how much I appreciate all that you do for me and our family.
For as long as I can remember, you have always put forth 110% in all you do, whether it be working overtime to pay the bills or taking time out of your days off to fix up the house. You work yourself to a point of exhaustion just to make sure everyone else is satisfied. I admire your determination to always put others before yourself.
You have been my best friend since I was born. I will never forget the times we got our nails done or went on little shopping sprees when our bank accounts said we shouldn't. I will never forget the times we have spent singing Rascal Flatts at the top of our lungs. These little memories and so many more are what I look back on with utter joy in my heart.
You are always there to listen to me, lending an open ear and a shoulder to cry on when needed. When I have had moments of doubt and overwhelming days, you are always able to calm me down. Regardless of my dramatic outbursts and occasional hyperactivity, you handle me well.
Thank you for cheering me on, both in the pool and out. I understand sports equipment is not cheap and I went through multiple sports before finally sticking with one. Every win and every personal record broken is more special knowing how proud you are. I understand school is expensive and I know you do everything you can to ensure I have all I need to succeed. If it were not for you, I would be where I am today. Sounds a bit cliché, but it’s true. I would not be attending the school I am at if it were not for your desire to give High Point a look.
Your encouraging words keep me going. With your support, I know that I am capable of anything. I hope to one day be as hard working and loving as you are. Continue to be the inspiring role model you are. I love you.
Your daughter,
Shannon
