My hopes and wishes for the future

Dear Future Bobbi,

How are you? I can't even begin to imagine what your life is like today. I hope you’re happy. I hope you found what you’ve been looking for. Are you still obsessed with reality TV? Is your favorite color still pink?

I want to know who you are.

I hope you ended up with everything you’ve ever dreamed of being and wanting. I hope you became a writer and are living in New York City with that golden retriever you’ve always wanted. I hope you have an amazing little family with a great husband and three little kids running around that look just like you. I hope you take them to all of their soccer games and dance classes like you always said you would as a mom. I hope you read to them every night like you promised, and like you used to be read to every night as well.

I hope you’ve been making time for yourself. I know you always put everyone before you, but you deserve to be happy too. I hope you are successful and living your life to the fullest.

And if your life didn’t turn out this way, so what?

Maybe you weren’t meant to be a writer. Maybe you weren’t meant to live in New York City. Maybe you weren’t meant to have kids, and if you didn’t--it’s okay! Life goes in unexpected ways and not everything you plan works out the way you want it to. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t something amazing still. Maybe you have one kid instead of three. Maybe you are living in a small quaint house in the country and maybe you're a stay at home mom.

Life is random, fun and crazy, so take advantage of that. It's okay to not have your life planned out and it's okay to take life one day at a time. I don’t know what your life is going to be like when you are older, and that is a scary feeling. But what I do know is that it will work out no matter what, and I can't wait to see it happen.

Sincerely,

Bobbi Rosner

For the average 20-something, life moves pretty fast. You’ve got classes, friends, relationships, jobs, family, and whatever else we overcommit ourselves with. I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.

College students, you might be able to relate to this one. These probably sound familiar because we often tell ourselves these phrases; however, we are unable to follow or agree with these the following, deep down inside of our overwhelmed, tired minds.

1. "No more spending money on useless things"

Until you walk into a 99 cents store and suddenly have the urge to pick up anything that's less than a dollar.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.
