In your life, you will/could be on a great track, doing everything possible to be a good person. You could be curing cancer and there will always be THOSE people who will put you down and make you feel like you're not doing anything right. So this is a letter to those people who wanna try to ruin you before you can really get started in life.

Dear "Those People,"

YOU WILL NOT STOP ME! I am going to accomplish all the dreams I set out to do. I am going to finish everything I start. I will not stop until I've turned over every rock in sight and then some. I am so tired of people like YOU putting me down and making me feel like I'm a bad person. I work harder than you ever will. You may get to me sometimes, hurt my feelings, push me down, but I will ALWAYS get back up. I will always persevere, you know why, because people like you fuel my urge to wanna prove you wrong, I know I'm not perfect, I've made a million mistakes in life, however, how can I do better when I'm constantly being put down. You fill peoples heads with lies and stories about me that are not true. I know who I am and my friends and real family know me for who I really am and they will see through your lies. The thing about people who wanna talk about others and put them down, is that they're overcompensating for something and have people who wanna actually listen to them. YOU may not be happy with your life, you may be jealous for all I know, but that does not make it right to put someone else down who is clearly only human. Also, to those who wanna listen to people talk rudely about others when they knows it's false, you're just as bad as the person talking by instigating it. Here's a couple of sayings you might be familiar with, "Two wrongs don't make a right" and "Don't bite from the hand that feeds you." Therefore, don't take from the person who is helping you or your friend/family, only to put them down in the long run. Also, just because someone did you wrong three years ago, doesn't mean you should constantly give them crap for a mistake. How is a person supposed to build when they've not supporters. That, I believe, is a HUGE issue with our world/society today. There are too many critics and not enough supporters, people to encourage you, in this world. It's about time we stop living by what we hear from the grapevine and start living by loving and supporting one another. The only thing you're accomplishing when you put another person down is making that person lose hope for their futures, their dreams. Don't be that person, encourage and help people to accomplish their dreams. Stop with this grown up bullying and gossiping and be a good person.

Sincerely,

Me, the person who is going to succeed

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
