To whom it may concern,

I can see it in your eyes you are tired of 6 a.m wake up calls, taco tuesday every week, the job you had since freshman year, I get it you are tired of the same routine you have been doing for the past four years. I can tell you want to quit, run miles away to start your life over before it has even started. I know you are questioning if staying to get your high school diploma is worth all this stress, I get it your tired.

Do NOT give up on yourself now, you have a little less then three months to go. I promise you this, you deserve to walk across that stage to shake your superintendent's hand. You deserve to feel accomplished, proud, ecstatic and overwhelmed all at the same time. No matter what struggles you have endured during this time of your life, it has made you a stronger person. Let that "piece of paper" be your strength to keep pushing forward. That "piece of paper" is you gateway into this world.

I walked in your shoes tired, afraid and filled with questions like who do I want to become, where do I want to go, where will I end up, and most importantly who will be their to catch me when I begin to fall? It is questions like that should make you want to keep pushing for your diploma. Why? A week before graduation they are going to hand you YOUR cap and gown that you EARNED, and the moment you try it on... You are going to turn around and catch a glimpse of yourself in your bedroom mirror and realize multiple things all at once.

You will realize that waking up at 6 a.m five days a week was worth it, taco tuesdays are a thing of the past, that job you held for the past four years will help you become independent when you leave for school. You may be undecided what you want to do for the rest of your life or who you want to become, but as you stare deeper into your bedroom mirror... You realize that no one truthfully has a long term plan.

Seniors take these last few weeks and soak them in, keep pushing forward, now is the time to start focusing on you and who you want to become as a person. I promise you those 6 a.m. wake up calls will soon be over, that job you had all threw high school will be receiving your two week notice very soon. College is waiting for you and it holds wonderful things.

10 Thoughts Of A 5th Year Senior

What about those of us who don't do it all in four years?

"College will be the best four years of your life" is a phrase that we have all heard growing up. College is painted as a magical place to us while we are in high school. A place you go to learn, meet your best friends and probably have the time of your life while all of this is going down. Four whirlwind years, where everything that you've known changes and you start to learn what it means to live on your own, have a job, etc. But what about those of us who don't do this all in four years? Major changes, hard courses, switching schools, career paths changing, these are just a handful of factors that could extend your four years to five, six or seven. There is nothing wrong with taking extra time to graduate, but returning as a fifth-year is a little different. Most of your best friends have most likely graduated and moved and while you may be one of the oldest undergraduates on campus, you might feel as awkward as a freshmen. A world that became home and comfortable to you is still there but it's slightly different than you've known it to be and you have to find a groove to fall into. These are thoughts you'll have as you look ahead to returning to your college campus, with a victory lap planned.

11 Times Aubrey Plaza Described Sophomore Year

"I don't want to do things. I want to do not things."

Aubrey Plaza is one of my favorite humans in Hollywood. She's honest, blunt, unapologetic, and hilarious. I just started my sophomore year of college, and found that some of her best moments can accurately describe the start of the school year.

1. When your advisor tells you that you should declare a major soon.

2. Seeing the lost and confused freshmen and remembering that was you a short year ago, and now being grateful you know the ins and outs of the campus.

3. Going to the involvement fair to sign up for more clubs knowing that you are already too involved.

4. When you actually do the reading required for the first class.

5. Seeing your friends for the first time since last semester.

6. When you're already drowning in homework during syllabus week.

7. Realizing you don't have the same excitement for classes as you did as a freshman.

8. Going home and seeing people from high school gets weirder the older you get.
