A Letter to the Girls I Teach Sunday Mornings

Dear the girls I teach Sunday mornings,

Holy cow, have you girls made a difference in my life. You might only be in kindergarten and first grade but you have all won my heart. You girls might not remember what I teach to you on Sunday mornings, normally you only remember the fact that you get candy at the end if you are good, but thank you for breaking down my walls so quickly. Thank you for being bubbly and wanting to tell me about your goldfish and why you got the bigger piece of candy and not your brother. Thank you for always bringing a smile to my face. Thanks for being you.

I'm really going to miss you this summer. I'm not sure what I am going to do for three months but you girls have made these past four months great. Thank you for making my Sunday mornings bearable. Not only did you help in church, but you also helped me get through my second semester of my freshman year of college. Knowing that on Sunday, I had you girls to see and teach made me stay on top of everything so that when Sunday came around I wouldn't have as much stress as I usually would.

Thank you for letting me teach and pour into you.

With all my heart,

Miss Danica

One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone does not try to help their self before asking others. How can someone else be expected to help you if you do not first do that yourself? I'm all about helping those that need it when the time comes, however whenever someone does not even attempt to help him or herself first then that becomes a huge problem. As we all have learned, people tend to take advantage of us in one way or another. I am sure we all read this short story when we were younger and it follows that same principle:
