To the girl who masks her true personality because of social pressure and anxiety, you are not a burden and you are not alone.

Your emotions are valid and very much real. Your emotional pain of feeling unworthy and invalid will pass and you will thrive.

To the girl behind the mask who says "I'm fine," when asked if you're okay, one day you'll be able to say you're fine and mean it, but today you can't and that's okay.

Some day soon you'll be able to put the feelings of no-self-worth aside and say to yourself you're worth it. You're worth feeling content and happy with your life.

To the girl who is afraid of taking her masks off, remember the feeling of ease and comfort you had before the masks existed.

Your strength shines through your mask and everyone around you sees your value, even if you can't see it yourself. You were made for beautiful things... Things that will bring the feeling of fulfillment that you crave.

To the girl that carries the weight of the world behind that mask, some day you'll feel a lightness in your life that's so brilliant.

So hang on to hope and remember that this will pass and you will shine brighter than the brightest star in the sky. Some day you will be able to accept the person who hides behind the mask, and when that day comes you will no longer feel the burden of mental anxiety.

Stay strong and prosper on.

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.

Tiana would no doubt be disappointed in the food our cafeteria has to offer.

And hopefully she would cook for everyone in her dorm.

She definitley would not take any 8:00 am classes because she would be up late baking and cleaning up the communal kitchen that are available in every dorm.
