Dear Citizens of the United States of America,
I remember when I first turned 18 and I was excited to finally exercise my right to vote. I’ve already voted for state representative of my district and Governor of Massachusetts, but I have yet to vote for our President of the United States. I’ve been waiting three years since then to vote for our leader, but now we are less than six months away from election day and I’m not thrilled at all. You may ask why? Well, let me break it down for you, the decision has come down to an ignorant bigot businessman who has no prior experience in politics and a female who has betrayed our trust and faith in her. Don’t those two just sound like wonderful leaders who will bring us to greatness? The answer is no.
Despite whoever is horrendously chosen, history will be made. For one thing, Bush will most likely be bumped down to second place for dumbest president of all time thanks to Trump incredible ideas, while on the other hand there may be a first woman president. Wow! First woman president, that sounds great, right? Wrong. She has already screwed up, and if she wins she may get worse which means that the U.S. will most likely never vote for a female president again. At this point, going down in history shouldn’t matter because either way we’re screwed for the next four to eight years. We’re definitely making America great again, right Trump? Not at all.
I’ve been seeing posts lately on Facebook stating that people aren’t going to vote because of the candidates that are going to be on the ballot. I understand the stance that these people are taking but that’s not going to solve anything. How about we vote for a third party candidate that no one hears about because they don’t have enough money to advertise themselves or maybe even write Bernie Sanders on the ballot in the white space provided? I bet you never thought of that. Bernie Sanders may have declared that he'll vote for Clinton, but he hasn't dropped out of the race just yet. He still has faith in the people of America. Just remember that we’re the voice of America. We’re a democracy, don’t forget that! There are more citizens in the U.S. than there are politicians, which means we’re the majority, not them. Your voice is only as loud as you want it to be, so start screaming!
Sincerely,
A concerned citizen
