You, my dear youth leaders, are the craziest most put together productive group of people I have ever known. I’ve only known you for three or four years, but it feels like I’ve known you a lifetime already. You (and the youth group) have become a second family to me. You’ve helped me grow so much and helped me learn where to turn when things get rough.
Inside jokes have been made. As any youth kid will likely know, if we have a problem, we can easily turn to you. You’ve taken me so many places I have never been mentally, spiritually, and physically. You took a stranger and made me feel like family, even in those first few Sundays and Wednesdays.
I can’t tell you how thankful I am for you. You are easily some of the most important adults in my life right behind my parents. You’ve helped me to laugh in some of the darkest times of my life so far, and I know that you’ll be there if and when more dark times come. You guys are my lighthouse, always guiding me forward through the waters, both calm and choppy.
As I have grown out of youth, you’ve told me, I’m not allowed to grow out of youth, and I thank you for that. You’ve given me some of the best experiences of my life so far and helped me find my God. Thank you isn’t strong enough, but it’s all I have. So thank you.
