Dear Little Sister,
Since I am older, I am obviously wiser. Therefore, with my extra knowledge there are a few words of wisdom I would like for you to hear. Hopefully you will listen to me, maybe you won't, but maybe eventually you'll learn that sometimes I actually know what I am talking about.
Be yourself. Be your true authentic self and if the people you hang out with do not like you for who you really are, then honestly they are just not worth your time! Also, it is so dang exhausting to keep up an appearance that is not really you. It is just frankly not worth the time or effort to be anyone but yourself. Plus, you are kinda cool I guess you should stick to who you are.
Always find something to be positive about. So, this one might be a little difficult for you, just because I know you. You tend to not think positively in the mornings, especially on your way to school when you are stressed and tired, but always find at least two things that are positive about your day. You are so incredibly blessed - you have an amazing family, some pretty cool friends, and a lot to be thankful about. So please, for me, try at the end of the day to pick at least two things that were good things about your day!
Don't give up on your dreams. Do not let anyone tell you what you want to do is stupid or ridiculous or that you cannot achieve absolute greatness, because I know you can. Ever since you were little you have always shot for the stars and aimed to live the best life you ever could. With college right around the corner, try your best and do whatever you want to with your life. If you do not know what you want to do just yet, that is OKAY! If you think you know what you want to do, but then change your occupation later, once again, it is OKAY! It might worry you or stress you out a little, but life can get stressful. Just make sure to keep a smile on your face and learn that rolling with whatever happens is the best thing you can do. Do not let life stress you out or overwhelm you, because you are in control and you can handle whatever gets thrown at you!
Pursue whatever it is that sets your soul on fire. Chase the wind, travel, explore the world. You are young and you need to experience life. Do not be that person that sits all day and watches TV. Get outside, breathe in the fresh air, and look around. Make an adventure from what is around you. Hang out with good pals, and bring a camera to capture these moments. Life is precious and you should cherish every day. Do not waste your life behind a computer or TV screen. Travel the world. Do great things.
Above all, know that I am always here for you, wherever, whenever, just grab the phone and I will stop what I'm doing to help you out. You are always going to be my annoying little sister, but you will always be my favorite annoying person I have ever had to deal with. Love you to the moon and back. You are a pretty cool kid and you are going to accomplish great things. I cannot wait to see what your future has in store for you.
