Because I wouldn’t be me without you.

A letter to My Person

My Person,

I know there are hundreds and thousands of articles that have been written on what makes a best friend and why we’re the luckiest people in the world because we have the best one out there… this isn’t one of those letters.

It’s said that “Everyone you come across is placed there for a reason.”, but I will never understand what I did so good that God decided to place you in mine. You truly are one of my biggest blessings. In my hardest times when everyone decided to leave, you were the one person that stayed.

I really can go on and on and on about how much you have changed my life along with how much you’ve changed me in the process, but I could write a book. You are the most caring person I have ever met. You have such a heart of gold; you put everyone before yourself even when you need to put yourself first. Your happy spirit radiates through a room and you can cheer everyone up just by your presence and amazing attitude. You have made me want to become a better person for not only myself, but for others around me as well.

Thank you. Two simple words that mean more than you will ever know. Thank you for believing in me and loving and caring about me when all I was doing was pushing you away. Thank you for putting me first and always asking if I’m okay (we all know you know how upset I am so fast even if it’s over text message). Thank you for not only asking if I’m okay, but genuinely caring and putting all your effort into fixing whatever the problem is and putting a smile on my face. Thank you for being that person to consistently text me. Thank you for being my backbone, my therapist, the person who keeps me in line, my stylist, and my go to.

I wouldn’t be me without you. I know that no matter where life takes us, we will forever take on the world together one step at a time.

I love you always.

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.
