Letter To My Perfect Big
Rachael Stewart

Hey big!

Let me just say how blessed I am to have you in my life. I feel that this is the most appropriate time to write this letter to you considering the fact that it is summer and I am missing you tons. I cannot wait for these five weeks to fly by so I can finally see your face.

It is kind of weird the way we were paired up. We did not talk much until the big little mixer. We were paired up because we had the same shape on our hand and we were told to come up with a cool handshake, and I must say ours was by far the best. But since that moment, I felt that we clicked instantly and have such an amazing bond ever since. When I found out you were my big, everyone kept telling me that we were a perfect match because we have the same caring and goofy personality. Those people could not have been more correct because we are perfect for each other.

We have only gotten to spend less than a semester together and we have already formed such a great bond and I cannot wait to make our bond even stronger throughout the next two years with you at school by my side, and also for the rest of my life. I hope you are ready to spend the rest of your life with me!

During big/little week, you spoiled me so much. I have so many gifts, canvases, and memories made during that week that I will always keep with me and dear to me. I cannot wait to get a little so I can try and be like you. I cannot wait to follow in your footsteps and be the best big for my little like you were to me, and that is going to be hard to copy.

Chapter and socials are so much better knowing that I get to spend time with you, talking and laughing about so many things. You have taken me under your wing and showed me what it means to be a great friend to someone.

But, I just wanted to tell you, thank you. Thank you for already being such a huge impact on my life. I know when I need to talk to you, you will be there for me, even if it is 1 in the morning and I need help planning things for my future little, you will be there. Thank you for teaching me so many things, not just in our sisterhood, but also in life. I know you will always support me in my decisions and will be right there next to me rooting me on, and I could not be any more blessed. I just want to let you know, that you will always be some I look up to in life. I want to be as great you are.

See you soon big! I love you tons.

Here's to you, here's to me, big and little we we'll always be.

So glad to be apart of the princess line!

Love, little Zuri. TLAM

girl with a hat

This is for the girls who have dealt with an emotionally, mentally, physically or verbally abusive father.

The ones who have grown up with a false lens of what love is and how relationships should be. The ones who have cried themselves to sleep wondering why he hurts you and your family so much. This is for all the girls who fall in love with broken boys that carry baggage bigger than their own, thinking it's their job to heal them because you watched your mother do the same.

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Recently I completed my freshman year of college, and boy, what an experience. It was a completely new learning environment and I can't believe how much I learned. In an effort to save time, here are the ten biggest lessons I learned from my first year of college.

1. Everyone is in the same boat

For me, the scariest part of starting school was that I was alone, that I wouldn't be able to make any friends and that I would stick out. Despite being told time and time again that everyone had these same feelings, it didn't really click until the first day when I saw all the other freshman looking as uneasy and uncomfortable as me. Therefore, I cannot stress this enough, everyone is feeling as nervous as you.
