Because there is not always enough time to say thank you.

A Letter To My Parents

Sometimes life gets busy and your time gets limited, and sometimes you forget to make time for the people who mean the most like your family and friends but most importantly, your parents. With that said I just wanted to write a letter to my parents about how thankful I am for them even though I don't get to see them everyday anymore.

First, I just want you to know how much I love you and how much every little thing that you guys do is noticed and I could not appreciate you more for all you have done for me and all you have put up with for me. I was never the easiest child but I always had you guys in mind and I've done my hardest to make you proud. Without you guys, and all your support and love I could never of made it as far as I have. So for that, thank you. Thank you for always being by my side and being my biggest fans even when I messed up. Even with this letter I could never be able to express to you and tell you every little thing that I am thankful for.

To my mom, I just want you to know how amazing you are. Watching you overcome all the bumps in the road and showing how strong of a person you are really inspires me. No matter what you go through you come out on top, you are the strongest person I know. You are hands down my best friend and I have no idea what I would do without you in my life. Thank you so much so always supporting me even when I messed up and being the person to always put a smile back on my face and reassure me everything will be okay. You're the person I call no matter what whether it's me having a mental break down and need your advice, or if I just wanna tell you about my day, either way you're always there for me and you always pick me up when I'm down. So thank you for being the best mom and best friend that anyone could ever ask for. And thank you for always being my shoulder to cry on and for putting up with me when I am at my worst. I can only hope that I am half the person you are some day and with you in my corner as one of my biggest fans, I know I will always have the love and support that I need. I couldn't imagine a life without such a loving, caring and supportive mother like you.

To my dad, you are literally my rock. Without you in my life I honestly don't think I could function. You are always right there when I need you and you have always had my back. When something goes wrong or I need someones help, you are my go to because I know no matter what you are always there to help me get back on my feet even if it is my fault. Thank you for always showing your support even when you're mad at me. I know I haven't always made it easy, but no matter what you're always there to get me out of trouble or calm me down when I'm freaking out or to be a friend to me when I need you the most. Thank you for being so active in my life, not every little girl gets a daddy who coaches all her sports when she is little and goes to every dance recital and sporting event (literally I don't think you ever missed one of them) and teaching me things like how to drive. You have always been my biggest fan and I will always be your little girl. Growing up we were partners in crime and we were inseparable, so thank you for not only giving me an unforgettable childhood, but for showing me what its like to have hands down the most incredible dad a girl could ask for, I also couldn't imagine a life without a dad like you.

To my step mom, just because you are a step parent does not mean you are not my parent, you are by far my parent. You are my other mom and I am so thankful for you. You have been in my life for as long as I could remember and you have always been a friend to me. You are the person I go to if I need advice on something personal, or if I need to gossip about something. You are always there for me when I need you the most and you treat me as if I really were your daughter. So thank you for always loving me and putting up with all my bratty attitudes growing up. You are a special kind of person who can see how I can get at my worst and still love me so much. You have always supported me and have always been one of my biggest fans, and I am so thankful that I get to have you in my life. Thank you for always being there when I needed you as a friend or if I need someone to talk to. Not every girl gets to say they have two moms and I am lucky to be able to call you mine. I could not imagine a life without a step mom like you.

I could never write as much as I wanted to about how much you guys mean to me but here is a little piece of how thankful I am. Without the three of you in my life I have no idea what I would do. You guys guide me, love me and support me more than anyone else could. So thank you for everything you do for me and thank you for always going above & beyond for me, and thank you for putting everything aside and for giving me the best life I could ever ask for. I love you guys and you will always be my heroes.

Love always,

Your daughter who loves you and is so thankful to have you.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
