A Letter To My One True Love: Breadsticks

We've all had them. We all love them.

A Letter To My One True Love: Breadsticks
Olive Garden

You matter most. Whenever I’m having an especially bad night, I know I can turn to you and you’ll be there for me. Unconditional with your love. So beautiful. Unlimited. Whenever my friends are deciding where to go, we all smile a little when we think of you. And it is decided. We get there and laugh because we all would be okay if you were the only thing we see that night. You are all we need. And when you finally come out, we all reach for you in bliss. Then, we all eat at least five and don’t even feel guilty. We are at Olive Garden. We are eating breadsticks.

This is a love letter to you, Olive Garden breadsticks. You make the world a better place. I honestly think if everyone in the world tried you, no one would be sad anymore. You make everything okay again.

Whenever I go to Olive Garden, we all ask if it’s acceptable just to get breadsticks. It’s the only thing we need to be happy. With your piping hot goodness and the way you melt as soon as you hit our lips, we couldn’t love you more. Especially since you’re unlimited. The best thing about you is that we can have as much as we desire and take some home to enjoy tomorrow.

A breadstick a day can easily keep the doctor away, while simultaneously quenching your hunger. So thank you breadsticks, for being everything that you are, and so much more than you need to be. You truly are wonderful.

So if anyone hasn’t had a good ole breadstick lately, head over to the local Olive Garden ASAP.

Side note: you probably should NOT eat a breadstick a day. As delicious as they are, that’s definitely not good for your health.

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.
