A Letter To My Little "Seester"

Because I have a sister, I will always have a friend

First, I want to start by saying... I love you, turd! Even though you think I don't.

Your're the little sister I never knew I really wanted or needed. Same goes for the little monster.

With having a little sister comes always having a friend. And having someone that nags you constantly about "being sassy".

I can always count on you to be completely honest with me even if you apologize one hundred times because you're worried you hurt my feelings.

You support me in anything even if you don't really "agree" with it.

You love jamming out in the car just as much as I do.

You encourage me to be my best in everything because I know that you look up to me in certain areas.

Life wouldn't be the same without you, ya goober. I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't have someone to say, "Shoot!!" every time I said something I shouldn't or "Does this match?" when you're getting ready sometimes.

or.. my favorite.. "Can I have a hug now? You haven't hugged me all day today."

And I honestly could go on and on for days but I'll spare us all and just simply say..

I love you. Alot. Yes, you erk my nerves sometimes but that is something that comes with being sisters so I suffer through it (LOL).

If there was any advice I could give you it would be to remember..

You are loved more than you will EVER know. Not just by me, or your family and friends but by a Good Good Father. One that sent His only son to die on the cross for you, so that you can be forgiven and have eternal life. Live your life with that in mind and strive to show that love to others even when it may seem impossible (you'll be glad you loved em' like Jesus" when it's all said and done).

You are so very beautiful! Far more precious than rubies. Don't ever think otherwise or ever let someone tell you any different. You were created by someone who thought enough of you to hand pick you out and place you right where you are. Someone who created the sun, moon and oceans! He wanted one of you here too, how stinking awesome is that?!

You have a purpose. You're here for a reason. Whatever it may be, do it with all that you have!

Last thing... be YOU! There is no one in the world that can be you, more than you. God made you unique. He gave you talents and abilities that no one else could fulfill. You're special! You're awesome at being you, don't change it for anything or anyone!

Love ya homie! ♥

Xoxo

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
