An Open Letter To My High School Sweetheart

Dear High School Sweetheart,

Where do I even begin? We have so many good memories together over the past several years. I just wanted to take the time to tell you how much I appreciate you and your commitment to our relationship. High school is a hard time in any person's life. And you were the one constant thing all those years. Always a hand to hold when things got rough and a hug when things were wonderful. You have been there through it all: two proms together, countless football games, summers spent apart, and many hours walking me to class.

Thank you for always being there and for choosing to love me, when I seemed like you swam through a sea of girls everyday. Thank you for being patient when trying to find myself and for loving me when I finally did find her. High school is rough when it comes to love, not everyone makes it out alive or in one piece. But we did. We defined the odds, and showed people that it can be done. We may not be perfect but you are perfect to me.

Always know that I will always be your number one fan. I will always be in the bleachers watching you, like I did those four years. I will always support whatever you choose to do in life, like when you chose your career path over another. Always know that I will not always be behind you, I will be beside you, holding your hand every step of the way like you have been doing with me for all these years.

When I was thirteen years old, texting you on my Motorola flip phone, I had no idea that I was texting a boy that someday would be my going-to-be-husband. Little did I know, that annoying boy who used to kick my bus seat would ask me to marry him one day. It's crazy to think about after all these years. That something as simple as a trying-to-be-flirty text message written by a 13 year old would blossom into something that just feels right. Or that a quick kiss on the lips because of a dare from a friend would turn into the longest relationship our high school has seen in a while.

I know we might get a lot of stink from people saying that we haven't experienced life because we have only been with each other. But honestly there is no one else that I would face the future with other than you. You have been my rock constantly through the good times and the bad and for that I could never thank you enough. And here is to all the years to come with you. High school might not have been the best, but it was the starting point of something amazing that no one saw coming.

Forever and Always,

Your High School Sweetheart

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.

It is a time where one day you can feel like you are on top of the world and then the next day you are 500 feet below the ground surface.
