A Letter To My Freshmen

Often times we forget what it was like when we first entered a new area of life; the new experiences, the feeling of not living at home for the first time, the fear of not knowing anyone in your new environment.

Meeting new people involves a personality of getting out of your shell and putting yourself out there to meet people who have the same interests and thought processes you do. Once you find those people, you can't imagine how you ever lived without them to begin with. Some people think they have to have their life figured out and have their exact path planned by the time they reach college, when in reality none of that is true in the slightest.

My girls have shown me so many different things including patience, love, forgiveness, passion, and drive. Without these girls, I don't think I would be able to have the same desire to pour into others. Even though we are in different phases of life, you all have shown me what friendship and relationships built on Christ are. I thank the Lord for each of you daily and I couldn't imagine how different this year would be without you guys.

While I'm a junior and you guys are just starting your freshman year, I hope you always know that I will always be one of your biggest fans and supporters. The Lord truly knew what he was doing when he blessed my life with two precious humans I get to call my girls.

I love you guys and I couldn't imagine going through this crazy thing called life without you. One piece of advice I want to leave you with is: don't conform to what the world is telling you to be because you were created by the one who made the mountains and the stars then decided the world needed one of you as well. Keep you head up and have a go-to person you can always tell things without judgement or ridicule. You guys have inspired me more than you will ever know and I couldn't be more proud of how much you are already growing. Keep pushing forward and seeking the Lord.

You're such a blessing <3

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
