To My Valentine,
I'm so excited to spend our first Valentine's Day together this weekend. And, I also appreciate that you're cool enough to not make fun of me too much for this super cheesy post. But, let's face it, you're just as cheesy as I am. It's just one of the many things that makes you so great.
I haven't usually been one to care much for Valentine's Day. I've always thought it's silly to have one specific day in the year to celebrate love, when it's something you should do every day. But, there's never been anyone to make it special before you. Now I'm looking forward to spending the weekend together, celebrating our relationship. I'm excited to do fun things together. I don't even care if it's romantic or not. I'd be fine with just going to Bob Evans and going to see "Zoolander 2." It'd still be great, since I'd be with you. You always manage to make simple things fun and make me feel special all at the same time.
There are milestones to every relationship, and I think the first Valentine's Day is an important one. It means things are more serious. We're a distance couple, so it's hard, but so worth it, especially when we get to celebrate this day together. It's like a Thanksgiving for relationships (so cheesy, I know, I'm a little sorry). But it is true; I am so thankful for you, my valentine, and all that you do for me. You encourage me when I'm down, bring me little presents just because and always tell me I'm beautiful. You make me laugh more than anyone else. There's no one else I'd rather be my first valentine.
So, on our first Valentine's Day, I can't wait to celebrate you and us. Whatever we do will be perfect, just like you. I hope you feel special and loved. I love you every day, but I love you a little more every day on our first Valentine's. I am so glad you're my first valentine. Thanks for being you.
Love,
Your Valentine
