Dear fellow christen friends,
Do you feel bored with life? Are you having trouble finding a true "purpose" for each day? Have you been going along with the same schedule for too long now? Do you have a huge drive for adventure, but feel blocked by the needs of everyday life? I assure you that these feelings and/or thoughts are totally and completely HUMAN. I may be writing this to tell y'all to trust in God and your paths shall be straight. This isn't what I'm trying to get across. Should we trust in God? YES! Of course we should, but the bigger picture is something that, (ironically) isn't as easy for us to see with our own unclean, human eyes.
The last thing you should feel is discouraged because I experience these things EVERY day. Knowing that you are not alone in something is such a wonderful reasurrance. Am I right? Looking around at the world of the eyes of a christian is something that isn’t as easy as we thought. Personally, with my faith the way it is today and how it has grown over this past year has caused my vision to alter. What the heck do I mean by that?
Based on the people I now choose to surround myself with has caused me to notice more of the negative things this world possesses. I’m not necessarily trying to make that sound like a bad thing. It is a bummer, yes, but the fact that I haven’t noticed these particular things in the past shows me all that I have been missing. The bottom line is that the more positive relationships you create through christ can help you better see the problems you encounter each day. This then creates a new lens to look through. A God given lens to help us impact the world in ways we never thought possible.
So, am I telling you to find new friends? NO. I’m just trying to get across to those who feel lost in any way, whether if it’s big or small, that the answer may be right in front of you. So, if you feel bored with life, are having trouble finding purpose for each day, have been going along with the same old for too long, or if you feel blocked from adventure, turn your eyes to the father and allow him to flood your eyes with his new, perfect lens.
You will be surprised with what He will make you see.
