A Letter To My Favorite Athlete

Each time you put on that uniform, you inspire me to be passionate about everything I do.

It’s always bittersweet the way something begins and ends so quickly. This season has come along with career bests, firsts, obstacles, injuries and great memories. With that, I’m happy to have been there to see it all.

The next season is only a short time away, but until then I’ll miss…

Cheering You On at Every Game

Despite the number of times I complained about being too cold, too hot, my throat hurting, not being able to feel some part of my body because I was sitting or standing for too long, I wouldn’t have traded any of that. The best part about the end of each season is knowing that I was in the stands for (almost) every game.

Seeing You After the Game

There’s no better feeling than seeing my favorite guy come off the field after a big win. And even if you had a bad day, I knew it was my job to make it better. Hopefully I could always do that.

Hanging Out With the Parents

What better group of people to sit with than the ones who can teach me everything I don't already know about the game?

Annoying You with A Million Pictures

If there’s any perfect way to remember a good game, it’s of course with a picture. Obviously I have a lot more games that I want to remember than you’ll ever have the desire to. Or you probably just like to keep those memories in your head instead of my photo stream.

Testing My Sports Photography Skills

Without you and the game, I probably would have minimal events where I can just take pictures like I know what i'm doing. It's an even greater delight when I see my pictures pop up on Instagram posts.

Hanging Out with the Guys

It’s been a pleasure getting to know your teammate, but being able to call them my friends as well is an even bigger treat.

Watching You Play the Sport You Love

If there’s anything that I’ve learned from watching you every season, it’s that you really do have a love for the game. No matter what, you always have your head held high and a smile on your face. I hope you always have that same passion that I see in you every single time you step on the field.

Although the next season is right around the corner and Summer ball is quickly approaching, there's so many things about right now that i'm sure to miss. The players, parents, friends, but mostly being your number one fan and watching you do what you love most. It's been a wonderful year, but I can't wait to watch you step onto that field again and grow into an even better player. Each time you put on that uniform, you inspire me to be passionate about everything I do, and I'm so grateful for that. Until next season...

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Being sick in college is really tough and definitely not a fun experience. Here are the 15 stages that everyone ends up going through when they are sick at college.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
