Dear people who have become my best friends in the past year,
Freshmen year can be tough. You come into a new school, usually a new state, knowing no one at all. Somehow, in the midst of the craziness you somehow meet your best friends who you know will be there for you no matter what. They'll probably end up being your bridesmaids.
Finding your best friends in college isn't always that easy. Luckily for me, my best friends lived in the same hall as me or even in the same room as me. I don't know what I would do without my friends considering I am literally with them 24/7. I mean really, if you can stay with someone 24/7 every second of the day, and not get annoyed with them- keep them around because they must be pretty cool.
Your college best friends know you better than anyone else. They know what type of mood you're in the second they see you. They know what type of food you're in the mood for without even saying it. The best part is they know what you did the night before at that party when you have no clue. Odds are whatever you did is on their snapchat story for the world to see. It happens to the best of us.
When you first come to college, you really miss your home friends. However, once these new people come into your lives everything changes. You only want to spend time with them and you don't understand how you've lived 18 years without knowing them. I'm actually weirded out thinking about how I've only known these people for about a year and I feel like I've known them my whole life. Pretty freaky, huh?
Home friends are always fun too, but I really don't think anyone compares to my college friends. Everything changes constantly in college- grades, relationships, life in general, but not your best friends. No fight could break away the friendship you have with your college homies.
This is getting way too emotional and mushy. But thank you to my college best friends for making my freshman year insanely amazing. I can't imagine spending it with any other crazy people. Can't wait until the fall!!
