You guys are rockstars.

A Letter To My Mom And Dad

Dear Mom and Dad,

Wow. You seriously rock. Bottom line.

I can't thank you enough for everything you do. From the time I was a little girl you put my needs before your own. You've always believed that your kids' needs were more important than yours, and while it may have gone unnoticed for many years, I see it now. You did your best to come to every choir concert and every sporting event, to take pictures for every school dance. You put food on my plate and clothes on my back. I truly don't think I could have asked for more.

Things changed as I grew up... I hit some rough patches, we shared some rough patches, but you stuck by me and supported me through all of it. You have never once told me I'm dreaming too big or reaching too far. Whether it was choosing a school or looking at different career paths, you were there to talk it out with me and help me decide. And any time I've doubted myself since then, you've reassured me and encouraged me to keep working hard. I wouldn't have made it this far without you.

Not even a week after moving out, I already had to call you to help me change a tire. (I probably should figure out how to do that on my own.) But, you never debated whether or not you'd be there. You assured me you'd come help as soon as possible. And, I know that if I called again tomorrow and said I needed you to fix my toilet or teach me how to organize a kitchen, you'd be there. See, it's not the little things anymore, like the shirt from Aeropostal that I want, or those super cool shoes that I wore five times. Now, it's the big things. Like teaching me how to apply for loans, or how to cook real dinners. I appreciate them all the same.

You guys are rockstars. I apologize for putting you through the "I'm too cool for you" stage that everyone goes through in middle school and high school, but I promise I never meant it. Mom and Dad, I love you dearly and am beyond thankful for your constant encouragement, support, and willingness to help.

Love always,

Your little girl

Blair Waldorf Quote
"DESTINY IS FOR LOSERS. IT'S JUST A STUPID EXCUSE TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN INSTEAD OF MAKING THEM HAPPEN." - BLAIR WALDORF.

The world stopped in 2012 when our beloved show "Gossip Girl" ended. For six straight years, we would all tune in every Monday at 9:00 p.m. to see Upper Eastside royalty in the form of a Burberry headband clad Blair Waldorf. Blair was the big sister that we all loved to hate. How could we ever forget the epic showdowns between her and her frenemy Serena Van Der Woodsen? Or the time she banished Georgina Sparks to a Christian summer camp? How about that time when she and her girls took down Bart Bass? Blair is life. She's taught us how to dress, how to be ambitious, and most importantly, how to throw the perfect shade.

Because we made it, and because high school seniors deserve to know what they're getting themselves into

too tired to care

We've all been there. From move-in day to the first finals week in college, your first term is an adventure from start to finish. In honor of college decisions coming out recently, I want to recap some of the most common experiences college freshmen experience.

1. The awkward hellos on move-in day.

You're moving your stuff onto your floor, and you will encounter people you don't know yet in the hallway. They live on your floor, so you'll awkwardly smile and maybe introduce yourself. As you walk away, you will wonder if they will ever speak to you again, but don't worry, there's a good chance that you will make some great friends on your floor!

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.
