Dear Life,
You are beautiful. You are magical. You are truly something we are all thankful for each and every day.
Without you, there wouldn't be anything or anyone else. The mystery of Life is the unknown. We never really know what to expect as each day comes and goes.
We are blessed with the natural wonders of our world. We get to see so many jaw-dropping sights. We get to capture so much pure beauty. We are blessed with extraordinary people and creatures that walk this earth. We get to interact and experience our worlds as they all intertwine.
You give us all an opportunity to meet special people, to make deeper connections than what's just on the surface. You give us the opportunity to feel joy, love, and bliss. Every single day there is something to be thankful for. Whether we're thankful for what we own, who we know, or just simply being here; we give thanks to Life.
There is so much good that life has to offer, but in the midst of it all we spend so much time on what's wrong with life.
You are cruel. You are blind. You are not fair. You are truly something we all view as bittersweet.
Without you, there wouldn't be anything or anyone else. The mystery of Life is the unknown. We never really know what to expect as each day comes and goes. We are thankful what we have, but we live in fear of what is to come. We take each blessing with a grain of salt.
You give us things that we are afraid you will rip away someday. We are proud of our possessions, we are in love with the relationships we make, we are blessed with the beauty that surrounds us. But, Life, you have the ability to take that all away.
You throw in disasters, disease, cruelty, and death. We are thankful for what you give us, but we are often never thankful enough until you take it away.
Life can give us heartbreak, depression, a feeling of nothingness. We wonder; are you worth it? Does the good outweigh the bad? What is Life?
Well, Life, after being around for only 19 years, I've come to learn that you are many things. You have your pros and your cons. Sometimes all I can do is ask "why?" Why do you let so many bad things happen to the people I love? Why do you take the ones I love most out of my world? You are so beautiful and so tragic.
There are many ways to describe you, and many different praises and criticisms for you. Even though there is no guidelines, no rules, no book on how life works, we are able to make it through.
Thank you, Life, for being so unique to each and every one of us.
