Some of us have faith in Him, some of us do not. Some of us believe in Him, some of us don't want to believe in Him. This letter is dedicated to a creator who is talked about every day, a creator who makes the world go round, a creator who I have faith in. A creator who I believe in, a creator who we show up to church for and pray to. This creator's name is...

God.

Dear God,

I was raised to believe in everything that You do. There were times when I knew You were watching over me. I had thoughts when I knew You did things for a reason. I feel that You know what is going on with not only just my life, but everyone else's lives as well. I've had my highs and my lows, however there is a new chapter for everyone. There were times in my life when I just didn't understand why certain situations happened. There were times when I couldn't help but ask "Why? Why did this have to happen?"

God, I don't blame you for anything. I know that you have much bigger plans for me, and I know that it takes time and process for me to get through things. I just hope you know that I'm trying my best, and that I trust You. You have a power that is absolutely extraordinary. I hope someday I will be able to see what amazing plans You have in store for me. I am thankful for You and I'm satisfied with all of the things that I have accomplished so far. I can't wait figure out where my dreams will take me.

I love You with all of my heart. I have so much faith in You.

With love,

Your Believer ♡

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
