Some may recognize you as Mitchie Torres from "Camp Rock." Others may know you as Sonny Munroe from "Sonny with a Chance." If they've been fangirling since 2007, like I have, then they most definitely know you as Charlotte from As the Bells Rings. Whether Mitchie, Sonny, or Charlotte, you are the Demi Lovato we've loved since the very beginning, and I am here to say, thank you. Thank you for genuinely standing in front of the world bare, raw and transparent.

I remember watching your documentary, "Simply Complicated," and not being able to withhold the tears. It was astonishing to me that someone, especially a celebrity, could have so much courage to admit, "The last time I did an interview this long I was on cocaine" but you were telling us your truth. You shared your struggles, your journey to overcoming those hardships, and the battle to continue to remain so full of strength. You were and still continue to be, authentic and real.

The first time I heard "Sober," I instantly told my friend "Play it again." I froze in the car as soon as I heard "Wake me when the shakes are gone and the cold sweats disappear" because I immediately knew what came next. As your fan, I'm not mad or disappointed. I think you're extraordinary for having the balls to tell the entire world that you're not sober anymore. But like you said in the song, you're only human, and Demi, you are still my role model. I know that I have absolutely no idea what you're going through so I won't pretend or try to relate. I do, however, know that as humans we all make mistakes and all we can do in life is learn from them.

So, here's to another 7 years (of course we hope for more) of sobriety. Here is to you being free just like the words tattooed on your pinky finger. Thank you for teaching the world, especially women like myself, to be brave and authentic. Thank you for showing us that if we fall to get back up and wholeheartedly love ourselves through it all. I, along with the rest of the Lovatics have watched you fall again and we still think you're a queen.

We love you, Demi. Thank you.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
