Dear Mom,
Is it really possible to ever know what to say to the woman who has done literally everything for you? How can I put it all into words? There are only so many ways to say thank you! I think I will start with a list of the things I say too much...
1. Mom
Plain and simple, I call your name way too many times in one day. But, to be fair you did yell at me whenever I tried to call you by your first name.
2. Can I...
It seems like I always take, take, take without ever giving you anything in return. I'm sorry.
3. Can you...
I can't imagine how demanding I was, and still am at times. I'm honestly ashamed at how selfish I can be.
4. Why?
I realize now that I should never as you why, just do what you say.
5. How?
I know it's really bad, but it's always easier to ask you how to do things than try and figure it out for myself... But I'm getting better at being independent.
And now, all the things I don't say often enough...
1. Thank you
There are so many things to thank you for, I don't know if I could ever say it enough. Thank you for everything you have done for me, and everything you haven't done for me, because those are the things who made me who I am today.
2. I love you
I hope that you already know that I love you, but again, I probably wouldn't ever be able to say it enough.
3. You're beautiful
You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Never doubt that. Your beauty even gets better with age.
4. You mean so much to me
You are the most important person to me in the whole world. I will never forget all of the great times we spend together, thank you for every moment. Thank you for everything you do for me.
5. I am so grateful for everything you do
Now this may seem redundant to my first point, but I can think back on many times where you gave me something, or did something for me and I didn't act pleased or grateful. I want to go back in time and slap myself for those moments. I want you to know how much every single thing you have ever done for me means.
My entire life, since the moment I was conceived (ew, but true) you have been the person there for me. You have been my rock, my confidant, my guardian angel on Earth, and my motivator. I want you to know that you have given me everything I need to be a great person. I try to live by your example, because if I grow up to be half the woman you are, I will consider myself successful. I love you so much!
Share this with your mom to let her know how much she means to you. And to my mom, happy late birthday! I love you!
