A Letter of Thank you to Rizzoli and Isles

Dear Rizzoli and Isles,

You're series is coming to a close after 7 years and I just want to say thank you for all you have done. You have taught me so much about life and more importantly friendships and how opposites truly attract. And I want to say thank you to all the characters for everything they've done.

Thank you Jane Rizzoli.

Jane, you have taught us women to be strong and independent. You show passion for your job and that a woman can survive without a man. You taught us that even through the bad parts of life that family is everything and that's what matters the most. You showed us that family pulls us closer and makes us feel like home. You also showed us that our scars only make us stronger and they don't define who we are. Thank you for showing us that women are just as badass as men are and that just because you're a woman doesn't mean you can't kick butt at being a detective.

Thank you Maura Isles.

Maura, you showed us that being different is truly beautiful. Though you relate everything to science, you do it in such an beautiful way that in a sense translates it to your own language. You showed me that family doesn't have to be blood related. Family can simply be your best friend. Thank you for being the example for women who love science. That your passion is important and you can work your way up. Thank you for showing us that social anxiety is real but doesn't define who you are.

Thank you Vince Korsak.

Korsak, you are the definition of an incredible cop. You bring that fatherly vibe to the series. You watch out for your "children". You're such an incredible role model to the younger detectives. We watched you from season 1. We absolutely love how you obsess over every single animal and act like a tough guy but deep inside you're just a lovable teddy bear. Thank you for being the model sergeant detective we all adore. And thank you for your 32 years of service. Your retirement is much deserved.

Thank you Angela Rizzoli

Angela, you're the strongest woman/mother ever. You give everything for your children and would go to the end of the earth for them if you had too. You took Maura in like your own daughter. Which shows your loving character to a huge extent. Thank you for always worrying and always watching out for your kids. You're a role model for every mother out there.

Thank you Frankie Rizzoli

You're the "little Rizzoli". But you're smart and quick. You are an amazing detective and will continue to be a great detective by following in your sister's footsteps.Congrats on getting engaged. You deserve it. You deserve the world.

And finally, thank you Detective Barry Frost

You were such a wonderful detective, and you would've been something incredible had you not passed so soon. You were quick on the computer and always looked out for everyone (even Korsak though you gave him the hardest time) you were inspiring and I thank you for never giving up no matter how queasy you got. You are the guardian angel of BPD.

Well season 7 has officially ended, and like most everyone, I cried my eyes out at the final scene. While it breaks my heart that the show has come to an end, I will always and forever cherish the laughs, cries, smiles and not so happy moments. You have been our favorite female duo for 7 years. And I will never forget you.

When it comes to Bloomington-Normal, there are many outstanding factors that any Illinois State student can say are unique to our college town (and maybe others too). Proud or not, we Redbirds know all the ins and outs of Blono.

1. The wait for Buffalo Wild Wings is always going to be long on Thursday nights.

As hard as we try, it's nearly impossible to resist the 69-cent wings on a college student budget. Plus, they are always delicious!
