I never thought I would have a teacher that could really change my outlook on life, but then I got placed into your class. At first, you overwhelmed me with saying what was planned for the year, and how fast we had to go trough topics to finish the year with what we need to know. As the days carried, I started to like the subject, even though you placed me in the front row center seat. Little did I know, sitting in that seat I made some of my closest friends to this day.

By incorporating films, news videos, the textbook and articles you found which made learning not only more fun, but helped my overall understanding of the topic. You really taught me to use time management better than anyone had tried before. From teaching me the subject you taught to daily life lessons that I will always remember. Also taking your time before and after class to answer my questions, no matter how crazy they were. Even with the students who would not listen, talked back and never did their work, you still pushed through with the students who tried their hardest. If you noticed a student’s work wasn’t to the best of their ability, you would figure out the issue in private and problem solve. Students could trust you with their opinions and issues. You would strive for student’s excellence not only by acknowledging good test grades but sport and personal achievements too.

When it was towards the end of the year, I really confided in you with things I needed advice with. Every time a good laugh was needed, I knew I could count on you. Watching you teach and being around you as a person actually is the reason my major is what it Is. When I asked you to write my letter of recommendation, you proudly said of course. I aspire to be everything you are with your work. I started looking for courses you taught since you had gotten me into the subject. From teaching me the subject you taught to daily life lessons that I will always remember. Not only did you listen to student’s story’s but you told your own. As time went on, a connection was built making a daily school day not as dreadful. I told students and teachers about your ways of connecting and teaching with students to try to change the school for the better before graduating.

As graduation came around, it was very bittersweet leaving you as my favorite teacher, but I knew you would influence others like you did with me. I’m the student that I am today because of the support and challenges that you gave me. One day I hope I can change student’s lives like you changed mine. You are a true role model.

Thank you for everything you have done for me.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
