Despite the amount of light that you bring into this world, there somehow still manages to be darkness and evil. At times that darkness will sneak up on you, and it will try to consume you: I promise you that I will stand by your side and fight that darkness away.

Despite the love and acceptance that you give to the world and those within it, there somehow still manages to be hate and rejection. At times that hate and rejection will sneak up on you and it will try to consume you: I vow to stand by your side and fight the hate and rejection away.

There will be times in your life in which you feel alone, you will feel as though the world is against you and you have no one on your side: this is a reminder that I am always on your team. There will be parts of this game we call life in which you will have to stand up to "swing" on your own, you will have to "sprint" for the last few yards, "dig deep" to beat the buzzer, and "push" to reach the finish line by yourself, but you will never truly be alone. I will always be there for you: ready to run the bases with you, to block for you, to set the picks for you and to cheer you on as you cross that finish line that you worked so hard to reach!

Life is the hardest game of them all. There are no rules, no referees, no guidelines, the stakes are stacked against you, and yet, despite the odds: I have faith that you will win; and I will be there, cheering you on when you do.

I will always be there for you: through every low and bad day that you have. Whether it be a bad hair day, or a loss in your life; I will be there with a shoulder to cry on and any other reinforcements that are needed for the occasion. I will be there to put the pieces of your heart back together if they ever happen to break. I will be there to wipe your tears no matter when, where or why, and I will be there to help remind you who you really are.

I will always be there for you: through every accomplishment and amazing day you have as well. Whether it be monumental or a small win during the day: I will be there, ready to celebrate with you!

I will always be there for you: no matter the place, the time or the reason. No distance, no person and no one thing could stop me from making my way to you when you need me. I would move mountains if it means being there for you when you need me. I would gladly give up my happiness if it means you are able to be happy in return. You mean the world to me, and you deserve the world because of that.

This is a reminder for you, whether you need it at the moment or not -- I love you, you mean the world to me, and you always will. Love you bunches and bunches, forever and ever!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
