To Katie and Kelsey,

Although your birthdays are a little over a month apart I wanted to wish you both a Happy Birthday. I’m sorry I can’t be there for your special days but sometimes things don’t always work out as we planned them to. I wish more than anything that I could be there with you right now watching you try and blow out your trick candles, and seeing all of your new toys and dresses.

Even though I can't be there with you, there are a few things I want you two to remember; someday someone is going to break your heart and it’s going to be terrible, be there for each other, learn from it and rise above it, it will only make you stronger. Always, always, always stand up for what you believe in, even if you’re standing alone. And most importantly, when you love, love with everything you have, never hold anything back.

Throughout your life people you never expected to come and go, will come and some will go. And that’s okay. People come into your life for all different reasons and sometimes it’s a simple matter of timing. That’s the case with us, just because I’m not with you everyday does not mean I don’t love you, I love you both very much. And someday when the time is right and you’re both old enough, you can hopefully make the choice for yourself to come back into my life and to accept me into yours. Until that day comes just remember that you are both brilliant, beautiful, talented and kind and know that I am always right here with you. Happy Birthday girls.

College isn't easy, and I'm afraid I'm not going to make it at the rate my mental health is going.

Everyone tells you that college is hard, but they fail to explain why. Sure, classes are hard. Math sucks, and political science can be so boring. But that's not even what's killing me about college. What's killing me about college is my deterioating mental health.

As a college student, I feel as if people don't understand just how exhausted I, and fellow college students are. We have so many things going on, all the time, and sometimes it's hard to explain to people how we feel. Personally...I'm tired. I'm sad. And I'm struggling every single day with my emotions. But the thing is, it hasn't always been this way. I haven't always hated school, so why am I feeling like this now?

I probably should have learned to say no to adding more to my schedule a long time ago, but instead here are 11 things that can be more helpful than coffee.

Resting b***h face. Defined as a person, usually a girl, who naturally looks mean when her face is expressionless, without meaning to. Many of you suffer from this "condition." You are commonly asked what's wrong, when nothing is. What people don't know is that is just your facial expression. Here are some things they wish you knew.
