A Letter Of Unity From A Trump Supporter To A Clinton Supporter

Come together, it's not about Democrats or Republicans, it is about loving our country enough to stand in the face of unknown and conquer whatever is to come as one.

Dear American citizen,

I know it has been a long, hard and emotionally draining 18 months since this presidential journey began for all of us. April 12 and then June 16th these two candidates began this race to The Whitehouse but little did any of us know what was to come. Now November 8th has come and gone and this dynamic, historic day has left us with President-Elect Donald J. Trump.

But this isn't about who is right or who is wrong. As a Trump supporter, I want to be the first to say I know my candidate has said many wrongs things that have alienated and hurt very specific groups of people along with the general American population. Donald Trump has made some highly inappropriate comments regarding woman and all of us even as supporters are disappointed in those comments. He also generalized the Mexicans and that hurt many. But we as his supporters do not support him for those comments, we support him because of his status as a political outsider, his new ideas for the people, and his plan to fix government corruption. We also acknowledge has certainly made some mistakes that have no excuse; however, the matter of the fact is, he is our next president, end of story.

OUR, meaning each and every one of us is a citizen under him as our leader. I entirely understand why you would not want to support a man like this and your opinions all matter and deserve to be heard. No one person's opinion is any more or any less important than the other. Whether you are a fan of Clinton or just not a fan of Trump the reality is as the people of this country we must now come together or else we will destroy this country from within.

The only way to bring this country back together is to work together. That may not mean agreeing entirely at every point but it does mean working together to understand our differences and accept where we are so we can move forward. I believe in your right to protest but I just need to remind everyone that if you want a country that works together and doesn't break we need to get our heads out of the gutter and start talking instead of yelling. The election cannot and will not change no matter how much protesting, Facebook posting or complaining you do. Your voices have been heard, now listen to ours and let's allow our collective voice to solve America's problems.

I understand the fear and unknown surrounding the next four years for America as a whole. But, if we are driven by fear and blind to the power and voice we still have then this nation will break apart. I am asking both sides of the political and social spectrum to stop the chaos, quit the hatred and pull together in our commonalities. We are American. There is no "us versus them" rather it's us the people with the privilege of having a check against the government. Let us not forgot we all have the same blood running through our veins and we all are entitled to the same rights. If our opinions are the only reason we are so divided we should all be disappointed.

Come together, it's not about Democrats or Republicans, it is about loving our country enough to stand in the face of unknown and conquer whatever is to come as one. A nation unified cannot be stopped because we are all in it together for one common goal. When we are stronger together then and only then can we make America great again. Stop looking for a fight, please try and find the light!

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
