To my beautiful Niece/Nephew,

So, your daddy called me the other day and told me I am going to be your Aunt. I have been waiting for this day forever. You have no idea how excited I am and how proud I am to be your Aunt.

Aunt Tine does not want her own children, so I will treat you like you are my own. I already love you and will protect you just like your mommy and daddy will.

I can't wait to find out whether you are a boy or a girl. I want to go shopping and buy you all kinds of clothes and shoes and bottles and diapers. I can't wait until you are older too so I can watch you play sports or do whatever makes you happy.

Just don't grow up too fast. Your mom and dad won't like that and neither will I. Just listen to what your mom and dad tells you about life because 90 percent of the time it'll be true. Believe me I wish I listened to mine more growing up because they were always right.

Just know you are so lucky to have the mom and dad you do. They will always love you and take care of you. You are already so loved by so many.

I can't wait to hold you for the first time. I love you.

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
