I'm not gonna write you a love story, I'm gonna make one for us. You deserve that and plus I think it'll be kind of cool. I grew up watching really cheesy love films and hating them. In fact I used to completely abhor them. My favorite book in middle school was Animal Farm because it introduced me to the idea of a story telling another story within itself. Things having a deeper meaning. Because of my adoration I wanted this book to be number 1. But upon my research I saw that The Great Gatsby was holding that title for this particular area of literature. Surely then it must be some amazing story then? It was a love story.

And I scoffed, how could something so mundane be better than my Animal Farm. Looking back I was young and dumb. Now I see the magic that's described in a love story, now I'm a die-hard fan of these stories. I dare say I love them. And now I want to recreate them. I'd like someone whose house I run to with a boom box under my arm playing a song in the middle of the rain. I want someone to steal a blue french horn for.

Now let me state, I'm not looking for a damsel in distress. Sure every now and then I'd like to ride gallantly in as the knight in shining armor and save you, but a great story has multiple strong characters. A great hero needs a great heroine. Sometimes she will save me. Sometimes she will save herself and vice versa. We should be a team who tackles challenges together through synergy, we amplify one another.

But back to those stories. I wish to recreate those grand romantic gestures with you and the subtle ones. From late night masquerades which end in a slow song to a simple loving conversation where we fall asleep on one another. All I want to do is be with you on this crazy adventure we call life because through our companionship, we will find new adventure.

But as it is all too abundantly clear, we cannot do so without both of us being in agreement. It takes two to tango. But if you're interested, I promise that this will be the start of a grand adventure. I hope that you share my sentiment, but I do not blame you if you don't. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

And I'm sure you're wondering who this is for dear reader, well I'll tell you that she'll know when she reads this. Although I wouldn't put it past me that this isn't just a fake out. No matter how I safeguard my intentions, I hope you've enjoyed this peek into my head.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!

There is nothing quite like family.

Family is kinda like that one ex that you always find yourself running back to (except without all the regret and the angsty breakup texts that come along with it).

No matter how long your class is, there's always time for the mind to wander. Much like taking a shower or trying to fall asleep, sitting in a classroom can be a time when you get some of your best ideas. But, more than likely, you're probably just trying to mentally cope with listening to a boring lecturer drone on and on. Perhaps some of the following Aristotle-esque thoughts have popped into your head during class.

Bob's Burgers
Adult Swim

Bob's Burgers is arguably one of the best and most well-written shows on tv today. That, and it's just plain hilarious. From Louise's crazy antics to Tina's deadpan self-confidence, whether they are planning ways to take over school or craft better burgers, the Belchers know how to have fun. They may not be anywhere close to organized or put together, but they do offer up some wise words once and awhile.

We're in college, none of us actually have anything together. In fact, not having anything together is one of our biggest stressors. However, there's a few little things that we do ever so often that actually make us feel like we have our lives together.

1. Making yourself dinner

And no this does not include ramen or Annie's Mac & Cheese. Making a decent meal for yourself is one of the most adult things you can do living on campus. And the food is much better than it would be at the dining hall.
