A Letter To My Line Brother

Every day, our relationship reminds me of what brotherhood is.

Dear LB,

Words cannot express the joy I feel to have you in my life, right by my side. We went through our pledge-ship together, constantly navigating through the tough times and all the studying. The great thing is, that not only brought us close together; it gave me a new brother.

We drive each other crazy, but what siblings don’t? You’re brave enough to tell me when I’m being crazy and I am just crazy enough to tell you to be brave. We hold each other up, but you often more than me. I want to thank you for that. You’re always looking out for me and waiting right around the corner, either to give me that strong look of disapproval you have, or to give me a big bear hug. Most the time, I end up swindling you into a bear hug regardless. I just need to thank you for being my rock and the person I know I can always turn to. You have so many things going for you in your life right now, and I can’t wait to see where you end up. Of course, I’ll be right beside you cheering you on every step of the way, just as I always have.

Please know that nothing will ever come in between our relationship. I will always put you first, and I know you’d do the same for me. You stick up for me, and I stick up for you. Every day, our relationship reminds me of what brotherhood is. I love you more than words can express. I thank God constantly for bringing me to Kappa Kappa Psi, but especially you. You’ve helped me grow as a person and I will never be able to thank you enough. MLITB, LB.

Your LB

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.
