Dear little, insignificant you,

I know you like being around. I know I'm cool to be around. But listen. I don't want you around anymore. I'm tired of being afraid to be in my own home. I don't want to deal with any of it anymore. Why are you doing this to me? I've had enough!

You think you can come into MY home. Use MY things. Invade MY space. Well, guess what. It ends now. I've had enough, and I'm retaliating! So get ready, I'm coming for YOU. I'll be one step ahead of you everywhere you go. I'll be there and you won't even know it. You thought I was crazy? Oh, you just wait.

That's right-- I'm talking to you. You freaking box elder and stink bugs that are in my house! I'm tired of you trying to take over my life. Tired of feeling something crawling up my leg, my arm, on my neck, across my FACE. Yup. DONE.

You think you can just flit around here like you own the place. Landing on various surfaces, in my water glasses, and worst of all, on me.

It's winter. Aren't you supposed to be hibernating or something? Aren't you supposed to only show yourself when it's warm out?

None of you are welcome here. It's time for you to leave. I'm so heartless, I will squish you on the spot. I'm sick of it. I've had enough. You've never been around for this long before, so why now? What made you pick this winter to decide to annoy me for so much longer than normal? Why are you doing this to me?

Have I mentioned that I'm sick of you? You need to leave my house and get out of my life. NOW.

Thanks.

Sincerely,

the girl who's had enough

Dear Mom,

You took care of me and my brothers our entire lives and you still continue to! I will not be able to truly grasp all of the hard work that you put into this family until I create my own one day. But, I know that there are plenty of times I forgot to give you a simple thank you or an appreciative smile. I thank you for everything that you have done for me and will continue to do for me. Here are some examples of those times where you had my back and I forgot to pat your back for saving me:

College is hard. As people ages 18-22, we’re just trying to figure out what we’re doing with our lives, our careers, our eating habits, exercise routines, sleep patterns, and other necessities for adult life. We definitely don’t take proper care of ourselves; it’s basically impossible when we have essays, tests and readings due and somehow we’re supposed to eat right, exercise and sleep. We’re doomed to get sick. I have zero experience in science but when I get sick there are certain things I do to make myself better.

What is "talking?" How does one "talk?"

Now that it seems “talking” is the new way to date, and will stay that way until another idiotic term is used to describe the people who can’t settle down and just date someone, I feel as if it’s time to go over the unwritten rules of “talking.”

Rule 1. Having feeling without feeling.
