Dear America,

I wonder if you even remember what you stood for. I wonder if you even remember who you were before they took away. I gave up, as did many others. We really did not have a choice. I wish there was something we could do to preserve you. A lot of us moved away from our lives. Uprooted everything we ever knew.

I thought we could make it. I thought you had a chance. Unfortunately, people that took control are corrupt. They took you down, and with it, came out insidious tyrants.

We witnessed everything going wrong from the start, as corruption grew, our anxieties increased, our knowledge expanded, and we lost hope. The two worst people to ever run was in front of us. Hell gripped us, anger to some, but for most of us, fear was an inevitable feeling.

I understand if you cannot write me back, pieces of you have been ripped apart by fascist regimes.

This is what will happen, if we do not wake up.
