A Letter From Gossip Girl To Those Going Through Finals Week

Gossip Girl here...

Your one and only source into what you wish was the scandalous lives of Manhattan's Elite...

Don't we all just aspire to live on the Upper East Side with the only worry in the world being where we will be brunching in the afternoons, what card to charge it to, and what social light party we will be attending tonight?

Finals week seems to be making me think about this more often than usual. I am here cramming for finals and praying I get financial aid next semester. When Blair Waldorf would be strolling around a Louis Vuitton store wondering what bag to buy next. But as we sit in the library running on no sleep here are some reminders that they too know what you are going through... kind of.

To the people who think it is acceptable to talk on the phone while you are one the silent level of the library...!

Life is hard, Finals are hard. Get a helmet incase you decide to jump off the ledge in the library while studying.

When the motivation hits you and you realize that you are tough! This isn't your first finals week, you are invincible to these exams!

Sleep is temporary but GPA is forever. Stay strong!

Finals week is rough and many times you think you are dyeing but before you know it will be summer and you will recovering beachside... Hopefully you will make it to recovery.

At one point you will hit a low and think maybe I should just quit and focus on a Mrs. Degree instead.

And by he she means the janitor guy who comes around 1am to make sure that you are still alive and to clean up the red bull cans and pile of tears. THANK YOU! YOU THE REAL MVP!

Well I tried to believe in myself and study for finals... but then my friends called me to go to brunch.. #BottomlessMimosas

Finals week, forever making students feel like that can't accomplish a degree and contemplate dropping out and giving up.

We all may not have a Chuck Bass to come home to when finals are over but I am alive and okay now that they are over and thats all that matters.

When the stress of the week is finally over and all of your finals are done..... its officially summer time!

Good luck out there minions! You know you love me,

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
