I want to start this letter off by saying I’m sorry. I’m sorry that we drifted apart. Mostly, I’m sorry that I didn’t reach out more. Although we may not be as close as we once were, I have nothing but love for you.
We didn’t get in a big fight or decide not to be friends; unfortunately, we just went our separate ways. We were once very close and we shared some memories I will cherish forever. I still smile looking back at our pictures from high school football games or homecoming dances. We had some good laughs and maybe even a couple cry sessions.
I still get excited when I see you on the parade grounds, walking to class, or in the union. We exchange quick hellos and continue on our separate ways. It’s fun to see you and see what you are up to these days. Although it may be short encounters, it always reminds me of all the great times we had together.
Even though we grew apart, I still wish the best for you! I hope that you are having the time of your life on this college journey. I hope that you have found a great major and you are not totally confused like most of us.
