Dear best friend,

In the history of people I don't think there has ever been better friends than you and I. You are quite literally my person. From the moment we became friends, we have been inseparable. Yes, we have had our moments of anger and frustration towards each other and days and even months at one point have passed where we held resentment and disappointment with each other, but those days of darkness have brought us to a much brighter present.

I cannot imagine my life without you. I cannot imagine where I would be if it wasn't for you and your constant support. I don't know what I would do without our brutally honest conversations. You tell me exactly what I need to hear when I need to hear it. You have helped me through more than you will ever realize and I love you for that.

How did we get here? How did we enter into this chapter of our lives. Who decided we were old enough to be getting married? It absolutely blows my mind to realize that today I got to stand beside you, as you have always stood beside me, as you marry your husband. I could not be happier for you.

The way your face lights up when you are around your soon-to-be husband is an expression taken right from the pages of fairy tales. You two were made with the other in mind. It has been incredible to watch both of you grow over the last few years and to really grow to love, respect and care for each other.

I have never seen you as happy as I did today. You radiated such joy. It was amazing to see and quite honestly, there were multiple times that I teared up just seeing you so happy. You radiated such euphoria. I hope you hold on to that every single day.

I wish you and your new husband nothing but joy and happiness and days filled with laughter and beautiful memories. I hope you continue to grow to know each other and learn to work together to face the many obstacles that life will throw your way.

But know, that no matter how many miles separate us, I am always by your side. I will always be there to lie down with you when you fall and to tell you when you are being ridiculous. I will always laugh at your husband's jokes and I will always listen to your ridiculous questions about life. You are my person and that will never change.

I love you beyond measure and I have had the time of my life with you.

Long live,

Your best friend

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
