Best friends are people who come in and out of your life forever. However, there are few that will stay by your side until the day they die. For as long as I have walked this earth I have prayed for a friend such as this however I did not actually find her until twelve years ago, and for some reason I never expected to find her in my little sister. In all honesty the realization was a slow simmer that grew into a fire as we grew up until it hit us both like a bus one day and brought us here. So here without further ado here is why my little sister is my best friend and will continue to be until the day I die.

1. I prayed for her existence and the Lord answered in flying colors

By the time the year 2004 had rolled around the Lord had blessed me with an amazing baby brother that I love more then anything. However, I wanted a little sister so bad that, I am almost eighty percent sure that my prayer life was only made up of the various different ways I basically begged God to send me a younger sister, for the first seven years of my life until he answered.

2. I am both the truest and best version of myself when I am with her

Despite our age difference Abby and I have seen and experienced life together for quite awhile now. We have witnessed each other during the good, bad and the ugliest stages of our lives and this isn't something that will be changing anytime soon. My sister makes me the best person I could ever ask to be and I am incredibly blessed to be her older sister. I am so proud of the young woman she has grown into and I can't wait to see what the Lord has planned for her. I am both the truest and best version of myself when I am with her. She makes me laugh harder and smile bigger then anyone else in my life. She challenges me to be a better persons and pursue the dreams I never thought were incredibly achievable and I owe sho much of who I have become to her and our relationship. Her friends think we're weird because we have never fought over anything in our entire lives but who cares and will us honesty is the best policy.

3. She's the Cory Mathews to my Shawn Hunter

Abby is without a doubt my partner in crime. When I am home we tend to do almost everything together. Therefore thank you Abby for being the Tiger to my Winnie, the Fred to my George, the Minnie to my Mickey and pretty much the other half of every major relationship between anyone on Boy Meets world with the exception of Cory and Topanga. I honestly could go on forever but you get the picture.

4. She deals with all my obsessions

Abby and I obsess over everything including Broadway, movies, television and books and we are totally okay with that.

6. No one is more entertained by us than us

When we're together we don't have to do much to be entertained. Sometimes we just sit and watch stupid movies or stare at each other and as a result burst out laughing.

7. We don't judge each other for the stupid stuff we do

I don't judge her for hiding behind furniture during the scary parts of movies...

8. She's the only sister I have

9. We have deep and important conversations

Sometimes they're stupid conversations but in all honesty Abby and I have had a lot of deep conversations that have helped make our relationship what it is today

10.Sisters who color together stay together

We like to be fun and creativity is the best, therefore sometimes we enjoy the simple things like coloring.

11. I love her

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.

If it hurts now, it'll hurt again. Not because you're gullible or naive, only because you fall fast, hard, and you do it every time.

We fall each and every time with the complete and utter confidence that someone will be there to catch us. Now that person we SWORE we were never going to fall for has our hearts, and every time we see them our palms start sweating. The butterflies in our stomach start to soar and our hearts are entirely too close to bursting out of our chests.
