Before you met me, you did not know who I was.

You did not know how messy my life had gotten. You did not know my scars. Yet when you met me, you showed me so much love. For the first time in my life, you made me feel worthy of being loved. For almost a year since you were 8 weeks old, you have continued to love me no matter what. Through all the stress, sadness, anxiety, etc., you jumped on me begging me to feel better.

I looked for a long time for the right animal, and just when I gave up, I found you. So thank you for the love you have given me this past year. I will forever love you the way you love me. You taught me how to laugh again and how to take care of something super important.

The day I took you home, I was with you through all of your training, through all of your troubles, and through all of the learning experiences. Through the stress of school, family, friends and work, you have stayed with me, and the love we have will never end. Our bond will forever exist, no matter what we do and no matter how far we go.

A year ago, I had trouble doing even the simplest chores. Now, I get up and cannot imagine how I was once that depressed. I get up happy and ready for the new experiences and the life we will go through together. I used to wish to never wake up, and now I hope for another great day with you!

I love everything about you. I love the way you yawn and how you play with your toys. I love playing tug of war with you and making your tail wag every time I come home. I love watching you interact with other dogs and wondering how something so amazing could play and enjoy life the way you do. My favorite thing about you is that nights alone are over. You cuddle next to me, and I no longer feel as dark as I used to.

So to all of you emotional support animals, I thank you for being there because you will never truly realize how much of a difference you make for us. We as your owners and best friends love you so much! We are so grateful for you!

Sincerely,

The owner and best friend to the World's Best Emotional Support Animal!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
