When I say I would do anything to switch places with you, I really mean ANYTHING. If time travel was actually a thing I would 100% use it to do college over again. Hearing the g word, (graduation) makes my whole body cringe and I automatically ignore whatever follows that word. I am refusing to acknowledge that in a few months from now, I will be done with school and have to move on to the so-called “real world.” I have so many questions about what this “real world” entails, but for now, I am going to ignore them all and tell you why college really is the most amazing four years of your life.

Once you graduate, it will never be socially acceptable to sleep until noon or go an entire day without leaving your apartment. It will also probably not be acceptable to get drunk at least four nights a week, or start drinking at 8 a.m. and not stop until 2 a.m. Saturday mornings will no longer be dedicated to tailgating. You can’t skip work on Friday just because you are hungover, or avoid having to work on Friday like you avoid having class on Friday mornings.

Once you graduate, leaving your work until midnight the night before it is due is also probably not a great idea. So freshmen, enjoy this all because when they say that college will fly by, it really will. I am still in denial that four years have passed. I remember my first college class, first frat party and first jump around in Camp Randall as if this all occurred last week. Apparently, it did not and I am now experiencing my lasts.

So college freshmen, I beg of you on behalf of every senior out there, enjoy every single millisecond you get to spend in college. When someone asks if you want to go out, go out. If your friends end up staying up until 4 a.m. talking, oh well -- you can nap tomorrow. If you are crying over a grade in class, move on; there are so many more opportunities ahead to make up for it. So freshmen, work hard but play harder. Tailgate like every game day is your last because before you know it, it will be your last. And to seniors reading this -- live it up the next few months. The “real world” can wait.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
