An Open Letter To My Boyfriend

I couldn't get through this life without you!

An Open Letter To My Boyfriend

First of all, I just want to start by giving you the biggest cyber hug ever. You are truly a gift and I have no idea where I would be without you. You are always there, no matter if that is just to be a shoulder to cry on or to take me to dinner when I am having a bad day. I also want to say that I could not imagine life with anyone else but you. You are so special to me and I never even knew what love was until I met you… As cliche as that sounds.

Thank you for introducing me to new things. I am a better version of myself with you and I definitely would not watch some of the things I do or do some of the things I do without your persuasion. You always pick me up when I am down and encourage me to get out and experience what the world has to offer.

I also would like to thank you for everything you do for me. Whether it is taking me on a great trip or taking me to a beautiful place to just sit and talk, you always know the right things to do that make me happy. I love the letters that you write for me and the way you always have the right words to say even when they can be painful to hear sometimes.

I thank God every day for giving me such an ambitious, wonderful, caring, intelligent, responsible man. Even when we have a disagreement, we come out stronger than before and that is important to me. If you aren’t willing to put time and effort into your relationship even when times get tough, then, what is the point of being in a relationship to begin with? Being with you makes me stronger as a person and gives me a higher level of confidence.

I am also thankful for all of the little things that you do for me, like giving me a jacket when I am cold, sitting with me at lunch when I have no one else to sit with, running to the store to get me Cheez-Itz at 4 a.m. just because I wanted them, or even just sitting in my room listening to me talk about everything I am interested in because we both know that I can talk someone’s ear off.

I am so grateful to be in a relationship with someone willing to deal with the darkest side of myself. You love me even on my worst days and support me even when I feel like no one else is there. We have been through so much in this past 20 months and I could not imagine doing life with anyone else by my side.

You are great. You are wonderful. You are kind. You are supportive. You are there for me. You are respectful of me and my feelings. You cherish our relationship. You respect my opinion. You are always there in the blink of an eye when I get into trouble. You are everything I could ever want and more and being with you just gives me something to look forward to in this crazy world we live in today.

I owe you the biggest thank you and all of the hugs and kisses in the world for what you have done for me. Words cannot even begin to express how much you mean to me and I promise I will always be there for you when you need me! Thank you for being the best partner in crime ever and giving me the best couple of years I could ever imagine. I can not wait to see what the future holds for us!

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. These are eleven thoughts that I have as a writer while writing my stories.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
