In my life, my family has become my greatest source of goofiness and love; they’ve become my best friends. Furthermore, I have been blessed to have had my great friends that now feel like family, with the only difference being that they are not obligated to bring toilet paper to the bathroom when someone runs out of it.
These are the friends that I know I can count on to show me what I am blind to during my tough times. They will reveal to me the key parts that I am overlooking when I am angry. Furthermore, they give me great reasons to be happy, even after I thought I was as full as I could be with joy.
And so now I am writing this as a thank you letter to all the friends that have supported me, loved me, laughed with me, and encouraged me. This is also a letter to remind you to thank your friends and family for the love and friendship they give you; it is all too easy to forget to do this.
I want to thank my friends for laughing at my terrible puns and run-on jokes. Even when I carry a joke out way too far and continue to think it’s funny days past when it actually was, I can always count on at least one friend to laugh at it and support me.
I want to thank my friends for embracing my family and recognizing that they are always welcome to call our house home. Furthermore, I want to thank my family for welcoming my friends into their lives. It means the world to have the people I love most become friends and connect with each other.
I have to thank my friends for filling in my voids when I am having a rough day, for reminding me that even when I feel empty, there is love and light inside of me, something they never overlook.
I further have to thank my good friends for allowing me to grow and go on the adventures that I need to go on by myself. I am so lucky to have these pals that support and encourage me to try new things, see new places, and meet new people. To know that I have my friends supporting me in any new phase of my life is the best thing.
The lists of my gratitude to my friends could go on for another 72 pages, but because I am limited on pages and trying to convey my message in less words, I will leave room to give one more thank you.
Thank you, my friends, for simply being my role models and a set of goofballs that I can be with. I am so grateful to have friends as good as you, and I will always be so blessed knowing that I get to laugh with you and journey with you.
As you can see, I’ve been super lucky to have some really good friends, and I encourage you to go to your friends and let them know how grateful you are to have them. You should cherish the laughs you can share together, the moments you’ve created, and the adventures you are able to have with each other. Cherish your friendships, because they are one in a million.
