Professor Jeremy Spencer at the University of Reading conducted a study, claiming that by drinking three glasses of champagne a day, you lower the risk of developing dementia.
So naturally, we wonder what the catch is. The study was conducted on a rat model, consisting of 24 animals, which is why the NHS encourages consumers to be cautious upon this finding.
The researchers who conducted the experiment hope to aim their study more towards humans, in hopes of the same result, thus proving champagne is good for your memory.
In the 2013 release, Dr. David Vauzour, stated, “This has been achieved successfully with other polyphenol-rich foods, such as blueberry and cocoa, and we predict similar outcomes for moderate Champagne intake on cognition in humans."
