The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Let's Talk About Relationships
Telegraph

I spent two hours in the car last night with my best friend while she sobbed uncontrollably because some dumb college boy decided he didn't love her anymore. And this got me thinking, I have four best friends and we are all in completely different relationships, but we are all still laughing and living life. This is what I determined our group looks like and probably yours too:

1. The girl who just had her heart broken.

This is my friend who fell head over heels for a boy who never treated her right. She loved him wholeheartedly, saw a future with him, and never knew anything was wrong until it was over. She deserves a prince charming and someone who will be crazy in love with her and give her the world. But it doesn't really matter who broke her heart or whose heart is broken, all you need is your friends to help you through it. Now this girl gets to be single and happy and truly find herself.

2. The girl on a break.

My other friend is with a boy and they both love each other with all their hearts but are on a break for some reason. They want to be together in the future and get married and have kids someday but at this moment in time they are both confused and trying to find themselves. They are both going down separate paths, she's going away to college and he's working a full-time job, but their hearts are still connected and always will be. If love is meant to be, it will be, no matter what challenges may lay ahead.

3. The "It's complicated" girl

This is the girl that has been in love with a boy for three years that moved away and will not commit. As hard as she tried, she can't forget about this boy and they still talk every day. Whenever he comes into town the sparks are still there, but for some reason, they still aren't together. She's been ready to be his for three years but he refuses to do long distance. I've watched her smile until her cheeks hurt and cry until her eyes were swollen shut because of this boy, I guess that's love... but it's complicated.

4. The girl who's just trying to find "The One".

This is truly one of the most beautifully complicated friends that I have. She is gorgeous, hilarious, with a bangin' body but seems to attract the wrong type of guys. Just like all of my friends, she deserves a man who will give her the world and that's what she's in the search for. She tends to think that this man will never come along but I truly believe that there is a person out there for everyone and hers will come along as soon as she stops looking.

5. The happily committed girl.

This is the girl who has had the on a broken relationship and it's complicated relationship all with the same boy. But they have been together for two years now they plan on having a long future together and they make each other immensely happy. Somehow over the course of two years their relationship blossomed to allow plenty of room for friends and adventures. Being in this committed relationship does not make her love her friends any less.

Despite our differences we all somehow manage to constantly be there for each other, whether we are broken hearted, one of us took back an ex, or you just can't handle your complicated relationship anymore. Friends are there as a constant web of support to make you laugh, wipe your tears, and buy you a Diet Coke. In the end maybe, we are each others' soulmates and boyfriends just come along for the ride.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Everybody gets sick once in a while, but getting sick while in college is the absolute worst. You're away from home and your mom who can take care of you and all you really want to do is just be in your own bed. You feel like you will have never-ending classwork to catch up on if you miss class, so you end up going sick and then it just takes longer to get better. Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
