Although I am not an avid board game and card game player, over the past few years I have played some AWESOME games! Following is a list of some of my most favorite. Linked onto the photos are the link to purchase these games on Amazon--maybe you will give a few a try! Enjoy!

7 Wonders

7 Wonders

A game of pure strategy, 7 Wonders is a game you can play with a group up to 7 of your friends (and more with expansion packs). Although this games comes up on the more so expensive side, it reigns superior! In this game you will control a city of the ancient world and lead by gathering resources, buying and selling, working your best strategy to gain points, and building a military. At the end of the 3 stages, each players' adds up their score and the person with the most wins!

This is by far one of my most favorite board games! The expansion packs are wonderful, as well.

SKIP BO

From the makers of UNO comes another fun-filled card game. Although it may take a few tries to get down, Skip Bo is a fun pastime that can still bring out your competitive side. The objective of this game is to get through your stockpile of cards before the other players--first one wins! This is my go-to card game!

What Do You Meme?

What Do You Meme?

This game will get your gut hurting from laughing so much! A not-so-dirty version of Cards Against Humanity (however still ages 17+), What Do You Meme? displays one photo for the group playing to caption. Whoever makes the best meme according to the judge wins the card. This game has a vast amount of expansion packs to keep the humor coming. Some expansion packs include: Rick and Morty, Mean Girls, Game of Thrones, and even one for Stoners.

The Chameleon

The Chameleon

This board game is similar to more familiar games such as "Werewolf" or "Mafia" which are played with a deck of cards. The Chameleon starts with passing out cards, one of which reads "You Are The Chameleon." While everyone else knows which specific words is being described form the subject card, the Chameleon doesn't. It's the Chameleon's job to blend in and hopefully figure out which word is being described from the other players. If the Chameleon can't figure it out and gets caught, they lose!

This is an easy game to learn and a quick game to play. Perfect for family nights or time with friends!

UNO: Flip

UNO: Flip

This is a fun twist on the classic game of UNO. These cards are double sided and when someone plays the special FLIP card, all cards are turned over for a new set! This special version brings in new cards like Draw 5 and Skip Everyone. Get this and next time you say "Let's play UNO!" maybe there won't be a collective groan.

Exploding Kittens

Amazon: Exploding Kittens

https://www.amazon.com/Exploding-Kittens-LLC-EKG-ORG1-1-Card/dp/B010TQY7A8

Exploding Kittens is an exciting card game that will even get Grandpa laughing! As reported by CNN, "It's like UNO, except there are goats, magical enchiladas, and kittens than can kill you." This kitty-powered version of Russian roulette takes about 15 minutes to play and can have up to 5 players. It is a game of luck and picking up the right cards at the right time. Draw an exploding kitten and you are outta the game!

Pass The Pigs

Pass The Pigs

https://www.amazon.com/Winning-Moves-Games-Pass-Pigs/dp/B00005JG3Y/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=pass+the+pigs&qid=1594144288&s=toys-and-games&sr=1-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFOTTg3VkJXOTRXVkomZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTAyOTEwMThPME5PSUJaSDNJNFMmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDk5NTk3NTM0V1NaWkRDMEpUOEcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

This piggy version of dice will surely get you snortin'! Playing with up to 4 players, each person will take a turn rolling 2 pigs. Depending on how the pigs land will determine how many points you gather. But be careful, get an Oinker or Pig Out and you will lose points! What's also amazing about this game--you can take it anywhere!

Also, keep an eye out for a larger version of this game. With this game you will receive two foam-plush piggies to bounce and roll on the floor!

For those long nights that turn into mornings when the struggle is real.

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

28 Daily Thoughts of College Students

"I want to thank Google, Wikipedia, and whoever else invented copy and paste. Thank you."

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate
Mental Floss

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

StableDiffusion

As this semester wraps up, students can’t help but be stressed about finals. After all, our GPAs depends on these grades! What student isn’t worrying about their finals right now? It’s “goodbye social life, hello library” time from now until the end of finals week.

1. Finals are weeks away, I’m sure I’ll be ready for them when they come.
