What I Wish For My Life
Branden Duane Waldrop

Sometimes life is hard! Who agrees? I'm 18 years old and I life on my own. Sometimes it's hard paying bills because I'm not used to it yet! Even though I have to ask for help from mom. Even though I hate asking for help because I know I can do myself. I have been trying for least six months to make it. But now my cousin has moved in with me. Also for me to help him out and to help me!

I have been through one job and I was the manager at Larrys in Magnolia and I wasn't making enough for me to live and to pay bills. So one day, I woke up day and thought I was going to be a CNA. But one day I want to go to college and become a nurse. But I have always wanted to be a model, but I know that ain't going to happen. It has been hard to get into college because of my ACT score.

But while life goes, I'm going to try to get my bills lined up first. I need to try to get my life straightened out first and then about going to college. I hope that one day I become a traveling nurse like I have always wanted to be! Life is pretty hard as it is and I hope that it gets better. One of these days, I want to have all my bills to be paid for and can be paid because I hope to have a good career for myself so I can support me and the love I'm in love with so we can live a good life together and not worry about anything. I hope all the things I want come truth and life gets better!

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
