We have been following these guys for a while now and I have written about them before. The newest EP did not disappoint.
Chestnut Grove just released a new EP entitled Let It Down with five incredible songs totaling to 19 minutes of jazz, folk, rock, swing, and pure raw musical talent.
The album clearly takes the listener on a journey and opens a new frame of mind. With the current events of the world the album attempts, and succeeds, at shining a light on the positive aspects that music can bring. The up-beat tempo and snazzy piano will brighten any mood and remind you that true real music is still being made without the help of computers or fake beats. These guys are one of the last true local scene bands producing music made from their hearts.
The song Whiskey Hand is a personal favorite of mine, but you will not be disappointed with any of the 5.
You can find the album, some videos, and their story here.
The full EP can be found on Spotify.
Here is a live sample of one of the hits.
Go give it a listen and keep supporting the local music scene.
